Orleans was a D or F district in 2005 and set to be taken over. C is an improvement for them.
And from what I have seen of EBRPSS, they game a lot of testing by moving magnet kids around to buoy shitty test scores at non-magnet schools.
Either they improve the school’s scores enough to prevent a state takeover or they shutter the school to avoid it.
IIRC, Capitol, Lee, Istrouma, and others have all had this, with Capitol becoming a charter, Lee becoming a new magnet school after their campus was used for a year for BRMHS during renovations, and I don’t know about Istrouma but the enrollment has been at a 2A level which is insanely low for a major metro public school in this state. Most 2A publics are ones like Buckeye, Block, and Bunkie, not north BR.

EBR is currently a C district.
It will be a low D or an F once all the schools in St.G are no longer factored in

And the kids are basically kept on another part of the campus entirely. They may eat lunch in general pop, but it's likely at a separate set of lunch tables.

Nathan Rust’s two kids go to Shenandoah Elementary. I think that he is the only board number who has kids in regular EBR public schools. Emily Soule’s 3 daughters are at Basis.

Which is even more reason to be pissed that the only EBR Public HS in SBR is Woodlawn, even after all these years and the way EBR population has shifted to the south.
There’s like 5 in NBR.

Can’t wait to see who this new mystery candidate is going to be.

If it is anyone but Adam Smith, the school employees are going to throw a massive fricking hissy.
