Eta: You've just got to go fast downtown and you don't catch the lights

New Orleans, while having its faults, is one of the most unique and special cities in the US. This country is better as a whole for having a place like New Orleans

This may have been true 50-75 years ago. Now the city, outside of its very unique cuisine, does not have a single redeeming quality.

This current Lutheran kids convention is the worst thing I've ever dealt with in NOLA

They are retarded when it comes to crossing the street for sure. I sat at O'Keefe through about three lights this morning waiting for these little turds to hurry up and cross the street. They were like fricking cattle

You should try to hit the Rouses on Baronne around 7pm when they're all being herded towards the Dome. I can't wait to have our fair city back.

An overwhelming majority of the population represents multiple generations of ignorance.

However, NOLA is a great city. If I couldn't live in Shreveport, then I would live in Uptown NOLA.

Which is why thousands of Americans travel there every month right?

It has great food, music, history, parks, museums, pro sports, and the unique ability to take alcohol into the city streets. The city truly takes you to another time with its charm.

But you can't see or enjoy any of this because "those people" are there.

And here they come. All the people who have never left Louisiana and New Orleans is their only frame of reference for a "city".

Plenty of cities have history, much better parks, good restaurants and better pro sports.

Get out and travel some, you will see just how much NOLA has decayed into oblivion. And, yes, at one time it was a great city, but those days are long gone and will likely never return.

Water has been gushing up from under a sewer cover for a month now by my house on Orleans. When cars roll over it, the downwards pressure shoots water into the air like a geyser.

We are neighbors. I live at the Can and that fricking leak has been going on forever. Annoying as hell.

The worst thing about New Orleans is that the GOAT Bloody Mary's are in the Super Dome, and I can only get them during Saints games. What about my GOAT Bloody Mary needs the other 350ish days of the year? It's quite the kerfuffle.

Leave it to NOLA to not be able to solve simple traffic flow problems. The level of incompetency throughout is staggering
