I'm not saying that the kid must be lying.
Really?
I'm sorry. I didn't grow up on Tatooine. Around here, we use English, and in English, "must" is a bit stronger than a mere possibility.

None of my posts state that the kid must be lying. Let's look at the first line of mine that you quoted:
quote:

I'm sitting here laughing at the people who just accept the kid's word about what happened.
See, I didn't say the kid lied. I merely questioned why anyone would just accept the kid's story. I implied that it's reasonable to question the kid's story.

Let's look at the second quote:
quote:

Wait, wait, wait. The bus went by the kid's house three times? You believe this shite? What kind of fricked up bus route goes by the same address three times? This smells like bullshite.
I didn't say it was bullshite. I merely said that it smelled like bullshite. Big difference.

The third quote is the same:
quote:

Kid: “Uhhhh . . . uhhhh . . . it wasn't me. It wasn't me. It was . . . the driver, yeah, the driver. That's the ticket. I told the driver. He drove right by our house one . . . no two . . . no three times but he made me get off three miles from here."
I suggest a possible motive for the kid to fabricate a story. I never said that he did fabricate the story.

See, there's a big difference between: (1) suggesting that both sides of a story should be scrutinised, and (2) calling one side of the story a liar.

I questioned why anyone would unquestioningly accept the kid's story. It smells like bullshite, and I merely pointed out why it smelled like bullshite.

However, I never said that the story must be bullshite or that kid must be lying.

I've never heard of a bus driver with a list of kids and corresponding stops charged with the responsibility to ensure that each kid gets off at the right stop. The bus driver stops at the bus stops and lets the kids off. It's the kid's responsibility to get off at the right stop.
Freaking scary if this is true.
It is true.

Ask any parent.

drivers certainly get a list. that doesnt mean they effectively use it to make sure 100% of the kids get home safely - but this magical document with an address and name of kids at that stop does exist.

In response to the incident, the District's Superintendent Carl Easley said, "Only one child did not get delivered to the right address. The counselors go around on the first day of school to confirm each child's address, but the parents should teach their kids their address. Every child should know their address by the third grade."

What a dumb response. All he needed to say is that it was a mistake in communication, they are working to rectify it and tweak the system so it doesn't happen again, and they are committed to safety for all of their students.

He says that this is a non issue

Good for the kid.

Little shite needs to learn how to be more assertive.

1. He should've demanded to be let off at his home.
2. He should of refused to get off the bus 3 miles away
3. He should've said the bus driver molested him
4. ???
5. Profit

Is it the fact you've got to put your kid on a school buy every day that makes you this unhinged and angry? Are you a bit sensitive and self conscious because of it?

From the horror stories I've heard from other parents, the school bus has become a rolling combination of Sodom & Gomorrah mixed with Thunderdome and The Purge.

Did ya'll not see this line
quote:

The counselors go around on the first day of school to confirm each child's address,

So, are you thinking that the kid said "I don't know my address" and the counselors and bus driver said, oh well screw him, he should know his address", "just try and get him close to his house"?

You people are stupid
