quote:How does that link the responses in the two threads? It seems as if you are lazily trying to point out some type of hypocrisy by identifying various posts from various different posters on two different topics as not being consistent. It doesn't make any sense.
b/c the only reason people believed the teen was b/c religion was "supposedly" involved.

all I was saying was its silly that people will buy a kid's story if religion is involved but when its not they wont.
you dont have to get a stick in your arse over it.

i used to walk home from school (2 miles) just because I could make it back faster than the bus. 8 - 12 years old at the time.

Otherwise, your point is worthless and nothing more than a projection of your own subjectivity.

You can borrow it to wave that white flag then.

a stranger ended up brought him home.
Incredibly shitty grammar aside, what if this stranger decided to kidnap the little boy and do sick and evil shite to him? The bus driver and superintendent dodged a bullet in that regard because heads would really fricking roll then if that was my son. Hell, they're still rolling anyway despite the stranger being a good Samaritan after all.

You walked 14 miles in 20 degree temps a few months back
True but I think it was around 40 degrees.
Not one of my prouder moments in life.

He might be telling the truth. However, his story has some puzzling aspects to it, in particular, the bus route that passes the same address three times and a bus driver that ignores his pleas three time.
I didn't read it that way, I read it as the kid told the bus driver 3 times that he had passed his house...

How is it schools have zero tolerance for children who make mistakes, but we our school systems have endless tolerance for adult employees who make mistakes?

Looks like the superintendent changed his tune.
Looks like the superintendent changed his tune.
quote:
“I told him three times that I lived back up there and he wouldn’t listen and he said that there is only two places left so he made me get off.,” said 8-year-old Noah Hoofman. “It was scary because I don’t want to get dropped off somewhere where I don’t know where I am.”
quote:
Detective Mike Smith with Wynne Police said they are investigating the child endangerment complaint. Smith said they subpoenaed the video from the bus from the school district and that all came in Friday. He said they will review it and determine whether criminal charges are warranted.
quote:
“The safety of all students in the Wynne School District is a priority. On the first day of school 1 student was dropped off at the wrong home address. This is not acceptable and we are taking steps to insure that this does not happened to another student in the future. We are fortunate that we have a close knit community that loves children and looks out for their well being.”

He'll have a great story to tell when he gets older. "Remember the time..."

School bus drivers are not certificated so I'm not sure if that's a valid comparison anyway. Besides, schools don't have mistake-free expectations. Kids today get many chances.
