I stopped tipping on those carryout orders because the company doesn't give the workers their tips.

Its added to their check.

Which I can tell you they probably dont see a dime or its only a fraction of a cut...or divided by every employee in the company.

That should make everyone feel better about not tipping.

Usually give a couple bucks. Maybe a 5-10 if I've had a few drinks. I got not problem giving a few bucks to someone working an honest job to support themselves if they do a timely and good job

You don't have to tip not sure why people get so worked up over it

I mean not tipping a delivery driver is pretty shitty. Delivery drivers are one of the few people who actually deserve a tip

She did tip the driver. Just not through the app. The driver thought she was owed a tip before even completing her service.

So, I am expected to tip a pimply-faced kid who hands me my pizza, but not the EMT that saves my life?

10% is very reasonable

This is the exact example I have an issue with. I never tip before the services unless I am out of cash but I try my best to make sure that isn't the case. Once the service is provided, if I feel gratuity is warranted, I'll tip in cash but I am not going to tip on the front end. That's just silly to me.

Where / when there is a spot to leave a note if I order online or through the app I'll usually try to put something like "gratuities will be paid in cash"

A couple bucks doesn't hurt. I always tip the girls at the snowball stand a dollar or a $4. Why not? They are high school kids that are nice and do a good job.

I'm just gonna admit it here. I always end up throwing those cats a tip out of guilt.

Same, and I also do it to not come off cheap.

depends. we talking like a dominoe's / little caesars? prolly not, just a couple bucks

we usually hit up a local pizza joint on Fridays. On the nights where my kids are insufferable POSes, I'll pick it up.

I always tip them well b/c we're there every week, we see them all the time (outside of eating there), etc. It's why when we walk in, beers and lemonades hit the table and they drop a cheesy bread for my toddlers stat.

for those ladies - usually 25-30%
