I actually went to home depot yesterday and saw they sold some Hunter pro-spray bodies and nozzles. But you can see the price difference. But to get the better valves and controllers, you typically have to go to a supply house like Ewing Irrigation.

I can probably recommend a few if you tell me what part of town. You can email me.

No, I'd ask them if someone else was going to be there.
I just wanted it professionally supervised

Rainbird and Hunter are the standards in the professional world.
I typically spec rainbird sprays and valves and use Hunter rotors and controllers.

It wasn't pic, it was flexible whateve
Exactly. I'm paying for the installation job. I want it to be done professionally. Not 3 unsupervised people who can't speak English and start with asking me questions in Spanish

It seems to work well.
I paid to have it put in, it looked like a ton of work, in terms of labor.

Can I get the abbreviation of the company name or business name ?
Or initials of owner

You're in Austin, TX and you're bitching about labor not speaking English and calling them messicans.

You nailed iit except this
This was my protection against "frick you pay me"
I was done with them and I wanted to make sure no form of payment was sought

I'd say you were in the right about everything except the crack about reporting them for illegal hiring practices. You had no proof so that was over the line, IMO.

I like messicans. I expect labor to be messicans. If I'm paying $5800 for a job though, I expect there is someone who can speak to me, and that any questions they have for me, will be in English
It's not a scene that inspired confidence
I deal with people in El Salvador and Guatemala all of the time. Close relationships. My objection wasn't skin color or inmigration status. Though their immigration status fits better in the title to explain they couldn't speak english

I think your request for the foreman to be there isn't unreasonable but the rest you went a too far.
First off, there should have been plans that they were following. If not then how do you know what you are getting and how do they know what they are putting in.
If the 3 had the plans that you previously agreed upon and were going to work off of those then you shouldn't be worried. If there are no plans, then you aren't getting a high end company to do it. Any high end company will do a contract with plans and pricing etc before they show up for the job. That covers their butt as well as yours.
No contract and plans = you didn't do your due diligence in finding a quality contractor to install your high end/dollar sprinkler system.

I agree with you on that one. A supervisor or PM should be there at the beginning to tell you they're starting and all.

Call them messicans then and see how they react.

All they were doing is running trenches anyway until the foreman would have probably showed up. If it is reputable, high-end company, why were you concerned?
Trust me, English speaker won't work smarter or harder
