If the AC is set anywhere north of 66 at night why even have an AC

No. I'm stating a fact. It jumped up 15mph in just 3 hours. How the hell is it going to prevent itself from strengthening more before it hits land? It doesn't seem like whatever adverse conditions it had to deal with is hurting it too much. It's still not even projected to hit land until Thursday. I wish it would just speed up and hit land ASAP then get out of here.

With the excessive amounts of rain in the SE lately; the ground is saturated. Even 45 mph winds will result in some very large downed trees - trees that ordinarily would withstand 45 mph winds.
Also, why has the Weather Channel resorted to chalk graphics??? They are actually using crayola chalk for illustrations...

Cloud tops starting to warm across S. Louisiana, that might be a sign that rain intensity could start to decrease

Sounds like a good way to freeze up your landlord's AC.
Yeah, I kicked mine down a few degrees from where it would normally be, but there's no point in dropping it so low it freezes your lines and you wake up hot anyway.

I was just outside and the wind isn't bad here at all. I heard a lot of cracked limbs near my house so that's another problem I'm worried about. I have several weak arse oak trees around my house and we all know how the roots are on those trees.
I'm actually more concerned right now that the winds will get stronger and become a bigger problem than the rain. Right now river level near my house is fine and so is the canals.

Also, this will not become a hurricane.
I hope not. I've got a second interview tomorrow morning.

the satellite shows dryer air being pulled in.
that should help weaken it, right?

It's able to do that because it's like half tropical. Cindy would need to really organize to make much more of a jump in intensity.

Hope so. I think we'll be fine back here with rain I'm just hoping those rain charts are not as accurate because Nortshore looks like it could get boatloads of rain next few days especially if the heaviest keeps getting projected further west. This needs to speed up to about 15-20mph out of nowhere and be out of here in a day. That would be awesome.

It's been hindering its development along with the shear

These threads should always start with a festivus style airing of grievances.
It's not a grievance to point out the ineptness in poo pooing the biggest storm of our lifetimes.

Honestly, I didn't think about the AC today. The OK family will still be cool without it. We are always ready for no electricity or a flood situation.

It is actually pretty impressive how much shite it has endured to get to this point.
Great, now Cindy will have a Lifetime movie.
