Is this pretty much what we should expect the next couple of days? The wind isn't even blowing in Lafayette.

It shouldn't be too bad in Lafayette the next couple of days.
ETA: at least I haven't seen anything anywhere that indicates it will be bad

No telling. I think we are just in a crappy spot and the way everything is moving we just so happen to get a never ending line of storms

Dry air has infiltrated the system. We won't get much more than we've already received.

The HRRR did a good job predicting this setup last night. Here is the current rainfall projections for the next 18 hours, through 11 PM tonight. Looks like SW LA is the only spot that could get anything significant.
The models were focusing much of the rain immediately off the eastern LA coast, south of Gulfport, and that is precisely where much of the rain has fallen. Thankfully things have been relatively uneventful on land in most places.

Yup thankfully it's basically over where i'm at. We get afternoon thunderstorms more strong than what this was all the time.

Too much traffic to the new website, we only planned for ~50,000 concurrent users. We took down our URLS to the main site and redirected to the forums, and it's taking a little bit longer than we thought. Check our FB for the link to go directly to the forums.
After all this is over we will have to move to a better server.

Dry air is really hurting Cindy this morning. As of now, this is helping Louisiana out a lot, and limiting the amount of moisture being pulled in.

Initially thought the 1.5" for my area was on the low side. Assumed at some point a strong band would just kinda train over us and could easily dump that in one hour.

Has it even rained in the Lafayette area yet? What a joke

I think a joke could be made about this.

Well well looks like 4-5 inches will be what it is....

Dark here in Opelousas but no real rain yet. I think it's going to miss this area completely.
