Farm Bureau, six month policy on 2023 Tacoma was ~$620 for the first two periods. Just went up to ~$830 for the next six months. No accidents, no tickets, perfectly clean driving record. Why?

What did you drive before? Did the Tacoma get added?

ACV of the car can make a huge difference if you upgrade.

25%, for no apparent reason by High

Increases are market driven due to the increased costs associated with repairing vehicles, replacing vehicles, and settling claims. It’s a combination of manufacturing shortages, worker shortages, and bad legislation that incentivizes lawyers to drag out the claims process.

i have a neighbor who just brought home a new red Chevy Camaro for his high schooler. Tempted to ask how much

Camero was at the top of my list for my 16 year old’s first car. They are really cheap at the base model, have excellent safety records, and come with a new driver Tech package.

This is the first and only vehicle I’ve had on this policy.

Someone has to pay for all the uninsured motorists getting in wrecks.

If we had stricter laws (felonies) to those that make law abiding citizens lives harder, things would be different.

How else do you think illegals are getting around?

Just switched my home and auto from Farm Bureau to Progressive. I’m saving about $300 per month for better coverage.

Your insurance company, like all insurance companies can do whatever the hell they please.

They can cancel, jack up rates, etc with impunity.

Insurance commissioners are former insurance company execs.

Bend over, for acceptance.

Inflation, massive verdicts and distracted driving. Shop your policy every year.

Why do you think this means your rate shouldn’t go up? You think you should be locked into a super special rate where the carrier loses money on your policy?

Also, insurers invest your premium dollars and they are currently not getting the ROI they want.

I propose everyone in Louisiana drop their insurance, crash into each other, and then sue Gordon for distracting billboards.

Let chaos reign.
