I don't know about newer stuff, but my 2015 Expedition EL Limited is flawless. Could use a detail, but I have had ZERO issues. Bought it 20k miles ago.

Here are the facts. Ford is a good truck with lots of standard features but way damned over priced.

Silverado/GMC handles better and feels more solid and responsive than the F150. However F150 has more standard features.

Ram is a bad arse looker with a dynamite interior and the Hemi now has a unique gas saving feature with an electric deal when the truck is stopped. I've owned three. One was solid as a rock, never an issue. One had more problems in 3 mo than all the 30 some new Silverado's I've owned TOTAL!. The third was good but made some funny noises.

I've owned two F150's. One gave no problems. The other wouldn't crank about 3X a month. Both were sluggish and handled poorly but I was used to the crisp handling and performance of the Chevy's. Of which I have owned over 30 and HAVE NEVER PUT ONE IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS! I had one with sqeaking brakes but it turns out they had dust on them from driving on a dirt road the days before.

Mechanics I know wouldn't own a Ford or ram truck.

It won't be much different from the 2019.

Been watching a few youtube videos, apparently the new updates to the 5.0 and the 10 speed are major issues. If what you say above is true, that should meet lemon law requirements.

I have a 2016 F150, 5.0 with the 6 speed. Glad that is what I have, as it looks like the newer ones are problematic.

I just passed 3 years ownership. Mine only has 16K miles, but other than a hose leak the first week I had it, it's been good to me. I'm happy with it. Wish it had more features, but I bought the XLT, and it has everything I need.

I wanted to get a Tundra but I just couldn't justify the additional cost. So far so good.

The transmission abruptly downshifts with no warning. Also the seatbelt pretensioners catch on fire.

Even their new Ranger is being recalled. It has not been for sale for one month yet.

Mine had that one. Got 3 recalls updated in on day about a month ago.

To their credit, at least they are recalling.

Toyota initially blamed the unintended acceleration problem on their owners.

Absolute hack job against Toyota right about the time we were bailing out GM

Ford’s Powerstroke has created thousands of diesel mechanic jobs.

Obama couldn’t create jobs. Ford did.

I had a 2015 Fx4 for three years. Had zero problems. Was never in the shop. Did everything I needed it to.

Sold it when I moved to nyc.

So is every other truck these days.

Disagree. You'll also have to change out your headlights 4x a year

I currently have a Ford and am pleased with it so far.
My next truck will be a Dodge most likely

I don't know anything about it.

Other than it will probably have massive amounts of recalls.

The new Rams are the best truck on the market for your money. I don't care about all of the baw brand loyalty.

I haven’t driven a 2019 Silverado, but my dad has a 2018. It is sluggish (5.3L) and handles like a boat compared to the F150. The ecoboost is the fastest truck out there, and the 5.0 is just a little slower.

I have a 5.7 Tundra and it’s similar to the 5.3 Silverado in terms of acceleration. The Ford is better than both in handling and acceleration.

The EcoBoost is decent in the short term but will wear out after 150K miles.

All of that air being forced into the block = premature wear vs naturally aspirated engines.

That’s why I’m not a fan of turbos. That and the lag.

2017 lariat FX4 here. I will not buy another one. I pull a boat a lot and need better mpg than the tundra offers. Not sure what I will go with next.
