It was serious offer. I've been through a severe bout of depression and insomnia lately. Just trying to help.

I wasn't laughing at the offer, I sent you an email.

Thank God you posted that emoticon, having no clue what is going on.

Well he said he sent me an email. Which discussed a subject that I was informed on, that he was not. All thread related.

While you guys are talking about meds, my pharmacist bud thinks I should try a low dose of xanax for my anxiety. I was on zoloft for a while but I didn't really notice much and it screwed up my stomach. I've heard all kinds of shite about xanax though. Any advice?

Xanax is easy, you will be fine!!! I take .25mgs twice a day and it works wonders for me.

Reading.....a book
The backlight from your mobile device is helping to keep you up. I struggle with it. Work out in the afternoon.
When its real bad, I love me some cornbread and milk of pbandj. Eat me a big old bowl of cornbrrad to fill my stomach up and a hot shower and I'm gone.

See your doc about it and he/she may suggest a sleep aid. A good night's sleep can help a lot with your daily issues. I have used 5mg of Ambien (break a 10 in half) and it works for me. But, to stop most of the sleep issues, you must pinpoint what adds up to the bucket of thoughts that plague you, decide how to attack them, free your mind, and sleep will come.

Sleep Deprivation, particularly a chronic disturbed REM cycle is something to talk with a professional about, soon. It is the kind of problem that can build on itself and begin to have a life of its own. Some of the choices in this thread will only aggravate the problem and create new problems in addition to insomnia, anxiety or other issues causing sleep disturbance.
What is interesting is so far on the thread only one person has vaguely mentioned specifically what keeps them awake "things I have done in the past" but no specifics.
When you are ready to talk specifics, what is actually on your mind, see a professional.

Yeah they're called ruminating thoughts and are a product of stress. I get them pretty bad right before bed. I'll be up reading and dozing off but once I get in the bed and turn off all electronics my mind races. Ambien helps but restoril works pretty good as well. Melatonin has little effect.

I was awake from 3am-4am this morning. Reason? Floor needs to be vacuumed and laundry needs to be folded. OCD sucks.
