Ukraine's leader is who the Ukrainians are protesting
He picked Russia over EU and a lot of people think Putin basically controls the Ukrainian guy
These police are doing their job to protect the important buildings in town from being taken over by the protestors
so it goes back to Russians wanting the police to win because then the Ukraine would be more likely to get back w Russia, bc Russians have a strong Soviet brotherhood feeling or whatnot
sorry it's late and that wasn't a very technical post, but that's to the best of my understanding idk
