Happy now?

I been happy.

We've had this discussion before and you got all bent out of shape when I was just trying to give you some constructive criticism. No now I'm not so nice about it.

Again, sorry I disappointed you.

Again, no you're not.

I wouldn't really bother commenting except that you do such a GREAT job with everything else, that oversight just jumps right out. Honestly. The exposed aluminum where the paint has been scratched off is awesome. You could probably use a little more exhaust carbon.

I'm not here to make fun of a grown man playing with toys. That's the other guy.

Meh, go frick yourself. I've built plenty.

I tried giving some constructive criticism in a nice way on one of Darth's models before, but he got all pissy. Apparently if you're not just kissing his arse and telling him how great he is, he gets the sads. So now I mess with him.

I forgot to cut the decal where it overlaps. It’s not the end of the world. Would you care to count the rivets as well?

You'd been 'forgetting', that's why I pointed it out some time back and asked you if you ever considered painting them on instead. That's when you got pissy.

No, it's not, but it ruins the effect that all of your fine detail work has been trying to achieve.

No, but maybe if you used a solvent like the other poster suggested, you'd be able to count them.

Vader

As with all fools, this fool has once again proven the old adage true

One of the things that limited Japanese aircraft performance was fuel. They couldn't manufacture avgas with the octane to allow their planes to reach their maximum potential.

The last model airplane I built was one of these:

All of the control surfaces were actuated with the stick (not included in the plans), and it was all painted, no decals.

And it flew.

The last plastic model I made was probably some time around 1977. And I left all of my models, including rockets and balsa planes, to the young boy who moved into my childhood home when we moved out back in the early 80s. Sorry.

Yep. And it affected the IJN as well. By the end of the war they were reduced to trying to burn essentially unrefined crude oil in the boilers of what few ships they had left.

Fabulous! I love the weathering effect. Thanks for sharing!

P. S. Don't listen to the naysayer. Great work!

I appreciate that. But he’s right, even if he was being an a-hole about it. I did forget to cut the decal on the overlap. I do go back and fix it though.

They were really hoping for a quick war since they were living off of reserves.

The fact their entire tanker fleet was obliterated by our subs didn't help their cause.

I think I remember reading some of our test pilots were pretty impressed with the 84. Obviously, by that point their pilot ranks had been decimated to the point the quality of aircraft was almost irrelevant.

It's been a while since I've piloted a plane but I don't think that will affect it's performance.

I could be wrong.

That doesn't mean I lost the ability to spot the same mistakes I was making when I was 12.

But your math is off, the last relevant personal experience was 1981, not 1977. That's when I was painting on the insignia instead of using decals.

Some months back, when I first brought up decals with Vader, I expected to get into a discussion with him about ideas on how to make templates, how to keep them in place while painting, and how to paint the insignia. I was respectful due to the high quality of work he was obviously capable of. He couldn't take the constructive criticism of how his decals were covering up details and ruining the effect he was going for, he just took it as an insult. Then I noticed how he was responding similarly to anyone else in the thread that had anything to contribute that wasn't just smoking his pipe. So now I mess with him.

And I'm not really sorry that it jiggles your tenders, because now I get to frick with you too.
