Hoenstly, if anything, this video is bad for the Agents that killed him

Pretti was a moron, that should have been arrested by actually local law enforcement if they were out doing their job.

However, look how these agents in this video were able to deal with him without creating a monkey fricking a football situation and a death

Zero people hurt. No agents hurt, agitators, etc

How many of them are there to disrupt ICE with the intent of protecting illegals with deportation orders? The whistles, the blocking the streets, following them around yelling, coordinating response to ICE location… all could be considered conspiring to disrupt the operation. So yes, many of them could be justifiably arrested. But then the narrative would be very different and you’d be upset they ICE would be instigating more unrest.

yeah. honestly probably all because of that one agent in the shooting situation that shoved and went for mace rather than trying to detain

I said this as my very first response to the video. It looks like the guy who yelled gun gun along with a misfire cause a response by one or two agents. Tragic, but doesn’t make them guilty. Guns misfire. Happened at a horrible time.

This is apparently where Pretti broke a rib. So not really.

I was actually really impressed with how they handled that situation

A few of them even deescalated

The other thing is that even if they had shot him at the end of this new video it still wouldn’t have been justified

So yeah, it just doesn’t really change much except for the people who were/are using emotional factors to help inform their decision

They did a great job

Highlights how bad the other agents did in the other event

We need to deploy the AI powered cyborg agents. Apparently the humanity of agents not arresting this queer last week doesn't count, but the humanity of having to make split second life and death decisions is a threat. So let's eliminate the human emotion.

There was a guy who wasn’t in a helmet who seemed to be the leader telling them to back off. They were trying to get somewhere else already. Seems like they had somewhere else more important to be.

Has his gun not misfired, I don’t think we have our situation here and it ends up similarly where they let him go.

The only difference I see is in the first interaction, someone was leading and telling them they had somewhere else to be, they were quick with the maze bombs, and the gun didn’t misfire. In situation 2, they took too long to use mace, they must not have been trying to be somewhere else, and there was no misfire causing a lethal response.

Seems like last week he caught them leaving, and the second week he caught them trying to do a job.

I feel like we're going in circles at this point. Every adult on the planet used to understand concepts like dont fight someone with a gun, mind your business, don't push your luck. Now people act offended when you say it. What changed? It makes it hard to even have a dialogue when concepts that have been understood for all of humanity started stumping folks.

Its worse for Pretti. It shows he was a person who was violent and carried a gun WHILE having no restrain in physically confronting federal agents. Insanity.

This makes him look either more dumb or more dangerous.

The report does not state that Pretti's gun discharged accidentally, one theory that has circulated in the wake of the shooting.

LINK

Doesn’t mean anything definitive, but the misfire theory was not substantiated by the initial internal report.

Seems like a major detail that should be in there if it happened.

It makes him look like an idiot, yes, also makes it clear he wasn’t out to kill agents and agents manage to interact with him without killing him or them getting injured….

Being a radicalized idiot isn’t a death sentence in America

Maybe. But it doesn’t change a thing about the circumstances of the shooting.

That’s obvious. Pride just had to have his one hot take for the thread.

Talking heads were touting nonstop about how perfect this guy was. Jimmy cried. Navarro swooned. Everyone defended him as a model citizen saving lives.

None of them will take that back. But he’s not the person they made him out to be just like he wasn’t the assassin Noem tried to claim he was either. No more moral high ground.
