Show me a link where I ever said that. I've said from the beginning there were some there at Twin Peaks who did take part in a shootout and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It's the over 100+ other people who took no part in any of it that were arrested and had their lives ruined that has been my problem with this from the get go.

Play stupid games (like joining a biker gang), win stupid prizes is what I always say!!!

Going to a "meeting" between criminal gangs where a signifiant percentage of the those in attendance have guns and knives is definitely "playing a stupid game."

They get no sympathy from me because something like this could never happen to someone like me.

A large number of the people arrested that day are not 1%ers or members of either the Cossacks or Bandidos. There were a lot of bikers arrested there who had nothing to do with either club. And by having their lives ruined, I'm talking about people who lost their jobs, lost their homes, and even some who lost custody of their kids because of this shite show.

If they are such good people then why are they hanging around shitbags? You have to know that if you're hanging around outlaw MCs there is a chance that something could happen.

This reminds me of something my dad always told me: "you are who you surround yourself with."

People lost jobs and homes because of being arrested at twin peaks?

Jobs I can maybe see depending on the job but homes, really?

That meeting was a Coalition of Clubs & Independents. It's an organization set up in virtually every state to represent riders on legislative matters that are important to motorcyclists & bikers. You've got members who are everything from 1%er's, to Veterans Clubs, Bikers Against Child Abuse, to Christian motorcycle ministries. Attending a COC meeting is not a criminal act.

So over 100 weren't associated with either gang?

Yes, they lost their homes and some even their kids. When they arrested the 177 bikers at Twin Peaks the cops filled out "fill in the blank" felony warrants and had a Justice of the Peace (not even a real judge) put a $1,000,000 bond on everyone of them. Most could not even afford to make that bond (who has a spare $100K laying around?) and what made matters worse is the judicial system drug it's feet for weeks on bond hearings for these people. some of them had to sit in jail for weeks, even months. I think the last one was only released like a week or two ago.

Lots of douchebaggery in this thread. Reminds me of the tattoo thread.

They learned a valuable lesson, Texas doesn't frick around.

They probably wouldn't have been railroaded so hard if this happened at the trailer park instead of a strip mall where kids and families are present.
