and the public does not want an elevated interstate anywhere near spanish lake anyway.
hell, the public doesn't want an interstate section through central or anywhere near the incorporated area of prairieville. they've made that very clear. so all the great ideas about connecting these areas for future growth are chopped down at the knees. all the great ideas and forward thinking in the world won't overcome a populace that just doesn't want change.

Not necessarily everywhere. There would still be problems on Airline, College/Lee, Highland to Lee and Jefferson Hwy due to being north-south passages and/or (in the Lee cases) neighborhoods unwilling to allow expansions.

i really do believe an arterial like airline would be improved. airline is often used in lieu of the interstate. if the interstate were "cleared out," more people would use it and alleviate traffic on airline.
