For the little kids, a five gallon bucket, a decent shovel, and a shower curtain liner. Dig you a 4’ by 4’ hole about a foot deep, throw down the shower curtain liner, and make a couple trips to the water to fill it up. Throw in a couple toys that float and it can entertain multiple little ones all day long.

I rent chairs and umbrella by the day.
Carry a Kona pack that has fins, and room for bottled water and sunscreen.
This year will add a JBL Charge 5 bluetooth speaker to the pack.
