Yes.

I used one of these specifically because it was supposed to be freeze proof. Thanksgiving morning the living room floor was soaked. The damn thing had busted in temperatures around 23 degrees. POS.

It's subzero in Minneapllis almost half of the winter. It can easily
Go to -40, for many many days. I've never had to cover or do anything to my water system. Not sure maybe because every house have a basement here.
