I have no doubt.

In this lady's case - I have no doubt there is a big difference of opinion when it comes to expenses based on wants and needs.

The fact that the dude has bolted is extremely indicative of character, though.

So how much is your kids expenses?
Tuition?
Car ins?
Baseball? Really, are you using baseball as a monthly expense for your kid?

So those three things run $2000/month?
Sounds like you are a money hungry whore who wants to take advantage of the system by using your kid for leverage.

Or........you are telling the legit truth and your husband is a POS.

You're a gold digging skank. I wish my parents had 2k a month of expendable cash to spend on me. I assume you pay -something- on top of that too. Keep your legs closed and your budget slim next time.

So if that money isn't going towards that....what is it going for. No way school tuition and baseball is 2K a month.

You keep saying "child support"...shouldn't that pay for stuff....for your child?

Sounds like you got used to living on his income. You've had since 2001 to adjust to a single income. Yes he should help pay for your son's expenses...but not necessarily help keep you in the lifestyle you are accustomed to.

I stand by getting a hacker.

I also think you need to make your kid pay for things like gas and dances.

ETA:

The most my parents would do is match on things like that for me... and they weren't hurting for money by a long shot.

Oh shite. I didn't even realize this was the same dumbass. So let's run thru what she has taught her son. These valuable life lessons so far.

1) He are not responsible for his actions. If he breaks the law, mommy will always be there to bail him out.

2) Mommy can only bail him out if daddy pays mommy to. Daddy is scum unless he gives mommy a quarter of his income to help mommy maintain her lifestyle.

3) Don't worry about the future. Getting out there and learning to work for what you have is not a priority. Wait for it to be handed to you.

Yep. This kid's gonna be just fine.

See there is your problem. A teenager doesn't NEED any of that. YOU have chosen to think he HAS to have all that.

It's great to want to give your children that...but at some point you have to be realistic. I grew up poor, my parents bought me a super cheap car and a part time job paid for gas and insurance(that was the deal I made with my father when he got me the car). Dances? If I wanted to go...my job paid for it.

If you want him in baseball, want him to have a car and insurance, gas, school plays, and everything else a TENNAGER doesn't need then great but pay for it yourself. I know you don't understand this but if you want Johnny to have nice things they cost money. If you don't have money then Johnny doesn't get nice things.

Johnny has a father who use to go to all of his games and pushed him to play ball. My ex doesn't help with my sons vehicle or insurance.

Sounds like you are raising a shiftless, entitled little shite. Hopefully those "upper class men" will be able to see to his expensive tastes.

All i know is i have a buddy who just got rail roaded by his ex. The dude worked like 20 hrs of overtime a week to make extra money while paying his wife child support and still maintain a reasonable life for him and his new wife. She married a lawyer who was in cohutes (spelling) with a bunch of judges and when she found out he was working extra hours and making more money. She brought him back to court and incrased his child support form 800 to almost 1600 a month. They factored in the overtime he was working which wasn't guaranteed income and he got fricked. Child Support is one of the most bullshite systems in this fricking country my dad also got rail roaded by my mom while I lived with him the entire time they were split.
