This really shouldn’t be a debate:
Keller’s in Lafayette or Youngsville makes the best king. And it’s not even close.

Haydels.
Randazzo's is shite. Too slimy and too much icing slabbed on flat boring cinnamon roll.

quote:Everyone has their own opinion, but I agree. It's the perfect cross between the 'NOLA' style king cake, the Acadiana Donut Cake, and the French Gallette de rois (the original king cake). It's not a NOLA style, it's not a giant donut, and it's not a traditional, but it's a cross of all three, and it's damn good.
Keller’s

Caluda's is legit and consistently good. Don’t know about best, still sampling others, but I’d get it again.

Oak Point in Watson, La.
Dong Phong in Gentily(N.O.) my wife and her friends went last year on a Saturday morning and got there at 10am, they were sold out. Had to go back in Monday. Many days are like this, people say.
2 best places hands down.

I almost feel like the discussion should be what filling to get?
I've heard blueberry cream cheese is the best, but I might prefer strawberry.

That's what I thought, but so many places ask for a filling.

Marguerites in Slidell. I make it a point to drive there from NOLA to get one per season. She has a special right now of $48 that includes shipping cost. Caludas and Antione’s for Jefferson Parish.
