As someone who is 33, I'll confess that my generation (but not me) completely shite the bed when it came to naming our kids because we normalized stupid fringe names and stopped considering the fact that a human being would have to live with that name forever.
People forget that you're not naming a kid, you're naming an adult.
And people need to stop naming their kids after stuff they like. Good job naming your daughter Leia, but you’re gonna look stupid when she doesn’t even like Star Wars.

Shooter Jennings named his daughter, with Drea DeMatteo, "Alabama Gypsy Rose." That's just turrible!

It's not the older milennials who did this, it was the young, dumb ones who got knocked up in their late teens and early 20s with no damn sense.
Now that Gen Y is entering their 30s and the wiser, more cultured set are having kids, you're seeing dramatically fewer Kreighlynn-type names. In fact, the chic thing now is to go retro - big upsurge in names like Lucy, Abigail, Charlotte, etc for Girls and big swing back to Biblical names for Boys.
FTR, Muhammad is #34 and rising. It will be in the top 10 within 10 years, no doubt.

As the punchline of a classic joke once answered the question, “Why do you ask Twodogsfricking?”
