It's only been a day and change. I probably would have given her mostly silent treatment for a day or two to make my point and assess the situation better. It's easy to say you'd tell her to cut it out or pack up, but that might be a bit premature at this point.

If this isn't a troll, I actually thought about that.

OP hasn't been back since his original post. So troll or ya'll drove him over the edge?

OP posted OP and nothing else. The ot posted variations of the frist two pages of replies for the current amount of pages (17?). some dummy tried to argue that what she is doing is fine and anyone who disagrees is just an insecure beta followed by 4 pages of waiting for OP memes.

Has this dude given her the D, yet?

Sounds like a typical OT post

It's time for an administrator to PM the OP to step up

Yeah these types of threads suck, especially if it isn't a troll.

OP's imaginary wife has an imaginary credit card that he is unaware of. Her imaginary job will soon unexpectedly require her to attend an imaginary seminar in Vegas.
Imaginary wife bought imaginary Vegas souvenirs on Ebay last month. Her imaginary credit card will be used to rent an imaginary room about 40 miles from their imaginary home for a weekend of saving the imaginary old friend from college.
Congrats on the imaginary HPV.

Yeah, someone link that. Sounds way more entertaining than this shite show.

You'd think a 40 year-old dude would have enough life under his belt to (1) Figure this shite out on his own and (2) know better than to seek advice from a bunch of anonymous strangers who are more interested in amusing themselves than offering real advice. I've often wondered if guys come here, listen to us talking shite about doing x, y, and z, pound a three-finger pour, and decide to try out some of the bad advice (some in this thread was actually reasonable). The thing is, we rarely have background on the relationship, the people involved, their past struggles, etc, so we really can't give good advice.

Your wife may be innocent in this situation and she may consider him to be "just a friend", but I would be very concerned about her willingness to seek a relationship with another man outside your marriage. I would get marriage counseling if I were you.

So he's gonna pay good money out to hear her whine and bitch about him and why she farked an old flame that contacted vulnerable self?
Naw...no way. Tell her to cut it off or GTFO
