No it isn't
We don't always say "2025 AD" because "AD" is often replaced by the secular term "CE" (Common Era), or the abbreviation is simply omitted. The use of CE instead of AD is common in academic and professional settings as a way to be more inclusive of non-Christian people. In casual conversation, people usually drop either the "AD" or "CE" because it is understood from context that we are counting from the beginning of the Common Era.
