but someone from south Louisiana will not be happy living in freaking New Hampshire.
Care to explain why? Because I strongly disagree.

So because you wouldn't enjoy it, anyone from south Louisiana wouldn't be happy there?
Not trying to convince you to like NH, but there's a lot of things NH offers that people, yes even someone from south LA, would enjoy.

A State with an Atlantic seaport has good food, close to Boston, women are no different there than anywhere.
Here's a map that shows the neighbors..

Food wasnt good imo. I did enjoy the cheap lobster I got up there. (Maine)
Women werent my type at all, but different people have different taste.
That region just wasnt for me. I guess I shouldnt speak for all of S.Louisiana though.

At least for a few years. If there is a cost of living adjustment, factor that in. Take the rest of the salary increase after that and bank it. If you don’t like it after a couple years, move back or elsewhere with some good change in your pocket. Seems easy

I love New Hampshire and would move up there in a heartbeat. Actually hoping to be back in that area within the next couple of years.

Compare cost of living to La. including housing prices.

Portsmouth is so very expensive that you would need to triple a Louisiana salary to survive. We looked for several years for a summer house there’s and it’s ridiculous. Too close to Boston. Btw it’s a great place to live.

double the salary AND double the cost of living = the same damn money and you are no better off, in fact its worse because everything it costs to live and anything you do costs more
Before taxes the cost of real estate is crazy. People in Louisiana don’t realize how far the dollar goes per square foot. They also don’t realize what’s it like to live where there are less social problems.

As a masshole I can confirm, completely accurate.
