He's in AEW more in a mentor role than anything else. Especially to MJF. That kid is gonna be an absolute megastar as long as he keeps his wits. And having CJ, Jake the Snake, AA, Sting, Christian, Taz, and now Chavo around him can only help.

what???? No. No he hasn't. He was the 1st world champion and one of the main 4-5 known stars for a new start-up wrestling company that has averaged 1.1 mill viewers the last 4 weeks.
HE has put together most of his programs, storylines, his matches and all of his promos.
He's an elite level performer, and yea, he's 50. He's not the same in the ring as he used to be, but he's still telling better stories than a company on another channel that's been doing it forever.
If anything, he has enhanced his legacy. If AEW turns into a powerhouse down the line (trending that way) then he'll be 1 of the handful of guys that will deserve some credit.

Damn 22 years ago.
Jericho is one of the GOATs for sure.

Watched it live. Love Jericho. Some might say the Rock made him look weak or stupid, but that was Jericho's character at the time. He was egotistical to interrupt and insult the Rock and the Rock threw it back to him allowing Jericho to act like prime whiny full of himself Jericho. I thought it was an awesome debut. His reaction when the rock asked him his name was priceless.

All these years later, I'm not proud to say I was away on vacation on the beaches of Florida but still found a way to get in front of a television to watch this live as it happened.
The eruption from the crowd as the screen revealed the name "JERICHO" is one of the loudest you'll ever hear in any sport or field of entertainment.

Watched it live as well. Y2J is a good dude. He said himself he shouldn’t have won the undisputed championship. Said his run was a disaster.

Late-90s WCW Jericho was pure gold. I felt in the long run, he lost some of his luster in WWE, although he's still one of my all-time favorites.

Jericho and this guy had one the GOAT WCW feuds. Still sticks out to me more than anything else he did.

quote:WCW heel Jericho was the greatest. I did like a lot of what Jericho did in WWE. His silent, angry character and the "List of Jericho" character at the end of his WWE run were my favorites. He's done well in AEW. Just hard to get into AEW as much, though they have their moments. The celebration of Jericho segment with his dad trashing the crowd in Chicago was a good one.

Dean Malenko is another under appreciated wrestler. He didn’t have the charisma of Jericho but dude could go with the rest of the cruiser weights.

I am old, so I will go with Undertaker at the Survivor Series or Earthquake when he squashed the Ultimate Warrior.

Not truly Glen Jacobs debut, just a debut of a new character. Unless you forget about Isaac Yankem, DDS.

Nothing better than the “C’mon baby” cocky pin.

It was Kane's debut, not Glenn Jacobs'. Plus nobody really knew that till he unmasked on raw. The audience saw that mask for years, never really giving Lawler's dentist or fake diesel a second thought.
