Thanks everyone... I used baking soda,lemon juice and white vinegar as a poultice, then applied absorbine jr. Today will soak ankles in white vinegar for an hour.
I got these bites in Sunnyside Florida (bt Destin and PCB) around sundown...never seen them in the swamps of Alabama.

yellow flies are terrible here in south georgia along the coast...very bad at the actual beach...it sucks....kid got bit by one a few weeks ago on his ankle...i thought he had sprained it by the way his ankle swole up...mfers are hard to deal with this season for some reason...
