The "x" on the end of Cajun French names such as Boudreaux, Arceneaux, etc. was added after the Catholics in Louisiana took down census data. When the exiled Cajuns were told to sign next to their name, they could only simply "make their mark" which was just an x.
Later on, someone was transcribing the information & added the x accidentally to the names. No one caught/corrected it & it stuck.

1 oz of gold is so malleable it can be hammered thin enough to cover an acre of land
Wrong
How could you even believe this?? Just think about it. Do you have any concept of space?

Gold is so malleable that a single ounce of it (about the size of a quarter) can be beaten into a thin continuous sheet measuring roughly 100 square feet. That means it would take 576 ounces (or just 36 pounds) of gold to completely cover a football field

The planet Mercury contains water ice. And not just a little, scientist estimate the closest planet to our sun contains billions of gallons of the stuff.
ETA: for the downvoters, this is not bullshite.

And ants are one of the extreme few (if not the only) natural predators of elephants - they can kill a full grown bull elephant by overwhelming him and infiltrating the respiratory system.
Wat?!
This is nonsense. Ants have never killed an elephant. Wouldn’t any insect be able to kill elephants like this? Like 100 trillion termites?
Enough zebras stacked on top of an elephant would kill it. Are they natural predators of elephants?

If you sneeze too hard you can fracture a rib. If you try to suppress a sneeze you can rupture a blood vessel in your head or neck and die. If you keep your eyes open by force they can pop out.

Back in the 1940s it was said that processed bologna consisted of just under 1% human DNA. Bringing the saying “eat a dick” to a whole other level

Well, they both use electromagnets. I’d be surprised to find that their designs are identical; especially considering that they different strengths of field that they sell - 1.5T and 3T being the most common for human use.
