I really think if you built them like they would have some commercial value, of course, I think it would be hard to justify a huge investment for property that may only be used from late March - October.
You could put a marina out there that sold bait/ice/basics.....it would have to be built in one of two ways,
Cheaply - build it back after each storm.
Brick shite house - expensive, but you're only going to build it once.

Very large rocks used for rip rap is plentiful near the Dubai man made islands and soil conditions are many many times better. Not so much in Louisiana. Alo plenty of Denor there. Not so much in Louisiana.
