I think they should pay for my boat shed in venice(1500), which is useless, xm weather/radio(900), insurance(600), and the oil that stained my gelcoat on my last trip. Also they should chip in for tanning beds since I can't get rid of this farmers tan.

I just moved my 8,800 pound boat from Venice to Freeport, TX. I lost a tire and had to replace hydraulic lines, and I think my tranny is on the fritz in my truck after hauling it that far in the heat...where can I sign up for a law suit?

If you purchased a beach house and all of a sudden the entire beach is covered with oil and deemed useless from this BP incident, should the beach house owner be able to sue?

Why? What are your quantifiable damages?

Yeah because I enjoy paying my 400 /mo note and 60/mo INS to not go fishing.

Secondly, if I owned a bunch of offshore platforms and I got sued by a bunch of fisherman, guess what: You are not allowed to fish near my platforms anymore. These idiots signing these petitions should think about the consequences of their actions.

except they don't own the sea.

damages need not be quantifiable. If you're denied the use of something which you're legally entitled to use, that's an injury.

This suit was filed against Exxon for the Valdez spill. The group of sport fishers was denied because the court ruled the matter was already settled by the govt.

ALASKA SPORT FISHING ASSOCIATION; Allen Tigert; Joseph
Klouda; William E. Simmons; Zenas "Ed" Zeine,
Plaintiffs-Appellants,
v.
EXXON CORPORATION, et al., Defendants-Appellees.
