Pretty much what I expected, someone who has no clue making statements regarding something they know nothing about. Part of the reason our country is headed into the crapper is because of citizens like this guy who think he knows everything about an industry because he saw a 10 minute hatchet job on the nightly news about it.

Speaking of people who have no clue making statements about something they know nothing about, wasn't it you who said

To those who think the oil spill will ruin the Gulf for decades...
Please do some research. There was an even larger spill in the Bay of Campeche in 1979, and the only lasting effect is for an occasional tar ball to wash up on South Padre Island. But hey, don't let that get in the way of your fear mongering.

And this:

Well did you even know about this oil spill prior to this one? Effects couldn't have been that bad or people along the coast would still be talking about it. It was so huge and historically destructive that most accounts of it that I've googled don't even say it caused much damage.

It flowed for 295 days, if there was a huge fish kill, it would have been reported, if it ruined the beaches it would have been reported. I guess South Padre Island is so popular with tourists because they love to go swim in it's oily waters.

Yup... was you

The moratorium applies wherever MMS wants it to. I have first hand knowledge that a permit was pulled yesterday for a workover in shallow water.
