LDWF still has the same map from earlier up.
Are they not allowing FV's to run through the closed areas?

No shite, but before you could run through the closed areas to get to the open.

I see, so they aren't letting you launch out of Venice?

can you pass through the federal closed zones to get to open areas if you launch out of grand isle?

In case anyone was wondering, I called LDWF, and they said you are allowed to boat through closed areas to get to open areas. They also said it is legal to pass through closed areas (without fishing), then fish open areas, and pass back through the closed areas with fish on board. Per the dude on the phone. I am still somewhat skeptical.
ETA: I only asked about Grand Isle specifically, I didn't mention Venice.
225-765-2441 is the only phone # I was able to actually speak to someone if you have questions.
