That right there is wayyyyyy stupid.

Reminds me of something my brother told me about Seal Sniper School. When they first got there the instructors were talking to them and one of them is standing by a silhouette. He eventually hugs it or something to get up close and next thing you know a hole appears in the head of it just inches from the instructors head. They had a sniper way back nailing it for effect. Apparently it was an impressive way to start Sniper School.

Now that I think about it, I think he said it was multiple holes from multiple snipers. I'll have to ask him.

That guy better be glad that the sniper's dope was correct. There are SO many things that could have effected that shot and made it hit somewhere unintended (his body).

I would own one only for playing with, taking apart for learning how a firearm works, for looks, and for just the history. As for reliable self defense I rather something else.

I'm betting it was a relatively short shot or he only tried that trick on days with no wind.

that sounds unlikely to me. I have seen statements from seals that a sure way to get dropped was a safety infraction like muzzle discipline.

Just passing it along. I wasn't there and he told me this many years ago. I'll check. It's totally possible I'm retarded and have stories mixed up but I'm pretty sure I'm not.

OK so I called him and it's WAYYYYY worse than that.

Yes it happened. Here's the story. They take the class down to the zero yard line and there's a silhouette and he's giving them the welcome to sniper school speech and they are all standing to the left side of him. Eventually he walks up next to the silhouette and puts his hand over a spot and all the other instructors are up at the 200 yard line. He calls on the radio, Sniper one take your shot and drops his hand.
Hole appears.

Moves his hand up and calls for sniper two.

Hole appears.

Then he hugs the thing with his head 8-10 inches from the head of the silhoutte and says, and if that doesn't work...

And about ten holes hit the head.

And then he says, "If you graduate this school, I'll feel perfectly safe with you taking that shot."

That's the 2nd time someone posted that, but I am looking at it on my phone and I can't tell who is who. I see one guy move from the car on the right shoulder, past the other car, but with the shite on the dash I lost him.

What am I supposed to be seeing?

I think Yeager is in the first vehicle. He runs away from the vehicle into the median and goes prone

I read some of the reports today. I don't think he was the team leader, but he was the driver of one of vehicle 1. From what I read he made some bad judgement calls that day. I don't know enough about military tactics to say. It'd be hardto judge a guy that was in that situation with that many rounds filling by your head.

Ya, Im not doubting that its a tough call. I wasnt there and I dont know, but from what I told he should have never been there in the first place.

Basically, look at the cars they are in. When a PKM opens up on you and you are in a geo metro the last thing you do is stop.
