nice slab.
I dont doubt he is 2.5 lbs.
Crappie are notoriously deceiving in pictures.
I have caught several 2 lbers that were 16 inches and in pictures, yea they look big, but not 2 lbs..

Check your scale. I bet you a buffalo nickel a bag of flour comes in at 7.5 lbs. That's a fine fish, but I've caught 2 fish right at 17" that were not 2.5 lbs. I have a picture somewhere of one somewhere with a can of copenhagen in his mouth outside the Whitehall Mall.

Note; when taking fish picture always hold the fish our arms lenght it will look bigger

sure was. The sac-a-lait moved into our cove the week before so we didn't have to go to far. We were catching one for every 4-5 casts out. Here is another little sample that was the tip of the iceberg
