What are your favorite bass baits for this time of year. Water temps should be 55-60. Thanks

Probably starting out with some combo of chatterbait, trap and magdraft. But any moving bait could be the ticket: squarebill, spinnerbait, jerkbait, underspin

And if I was there early, I would throw a topwater just to make sure they wont come eat it.

Jig. Water temps are going to be cold, fish will be mostly dormant. Have to almost hit em on the snout to get a bite.

Weightless Texas Rigged Senkos are deadly in cold/cooler water due to their slow movement , plus they will sink to the top of grass beds and sit.

Nearly all I throw until March, Black/Blue or Pumpkinseed

I’ve always been a person who thought cold water slows down the bite and you should slow way down too. It was 19 degrees post front on Guntersville and every one of those guys is throwing a chatterbait or ratl trap fairly shallow in grass

I’d be flipping a Texas rigged missile baits D bomb, or drop shotting a finesse worm. Something I can fish real slow.
