Most of the ones I've looked at look iffy on recoil, but hard to tell from pics alone. Would prefer to avoid pistol grips due to the 500/590 safety placement but not a deal breaker.

I have this one on my 500 turkey gun and love it. Have not had any issues accessing the tang safety and would consider it a non-issue, but I did install a larger aftermarket safety slider since I wear gloves turkey hunting so your results may vary. I did notice a good reduction in recoil with this stock shooting 3” TSS.

I've got a Magpul stock and forend on the one I keep out here at the farmhouse.

If I can remember where I put it I'll take a picture of it once I get inside.

It's a converted Cruiser, if I remember correctly, that I put the Magpul kit on once my right hand went arthritic.

ETA: Oh, that's why I forgot where it was .... over the closet door in the guest bedroom on bicycle hooks. I must have put it there a couple of decades ago, when I was in my 50s, when my downvote stalker was probably not even born yet.

Anyways .... it's an awesome kit for the 500 series shotguns.

And the bicycle hooks work great for those of us over 6'3" or more .... just screw them into the header behind the sheetrock. I actually had to yank this one around 2005 or so, on some coyotes licking the dog bowls on the back deck when my old service GSD was getting old. Stinkin'est dead animals known to man. Two died, one flipped head over heels, shot in the arse, running down the steps ... I never found him but half of one of his balls was stuck to the handrail I had to replace.

I used to be so fast with a polished Mossey or Ithaca M37 as taught at Bragg .... my left elbow just doesn't move as fast these days.

I had forgotten about all the old baseball caps in that closet in that room.

True story.
