I just did a weekend out of a tent at Clear Springs. Had a blast.

You've done well. I tried both last fall. There's really nothing within an hour. I find Bogue Chitto to be a bit too expensive. Percy Quinn is a decent option too, as mentioned.

If you choose Bogue Chitto, try the highlands campground. The views at night are better up there.

Bogue Chitto is nice, but make sure to reserve a spot, it fills up fast.

I would imagine he is referring to the one in MS east of McComb, it's been around quite a while.
