All I could get was some live shrimp. Had a good afternoon trip. Will post pics with directions after I clean some fish.

Live shrimp definitely does the trick as well. Were you fishing the shrimp under a cork?

You can free line it or under a cork. Through the lips, upper back or tail for free lining. Would go upper back under a cork.

You'll catch trout and big trout, but it's about as sporty as shooing a B&C buck on a high fenced place under a protien feeder above a mineral lick. In South Texas or Mexico.

Soft plasics and topwaters or more fun/sporty and something your wife can't do....

Through the lips on a Carolina Rig works very well I find. Just depends where you are fishing, might be better under a cork in some areas.

I fish down the road from you in Chowtawhatchee Bay. For grass flats I like to fish with a Mirrolure 7M. Vary your retrieves to see what works that day. The retrieve that works the best for me is to pop the lure like you are fishing with a popping cork so that the lure makes a splat noise. Do a 4 count rest between splats. If the water is slick do not make too much noise and work the lure slowly. When there is some chop try to make a louder splat. My favorite colors are pearl, gold and silver for clear water. I probably fish with this lure 90% of the time no matter what time of the day.

the whole "Ly" thing got me thinking of all the other names i've heard people call the same bait. I'd have to say my favorite is my podnuhs fishing down in Dularge calling a cocahoe a "Larch"

Biggest one 20". I'm gonna post pics and stuff later. Was too rough to fish topwater that evening.
