Exactly what it is. Just smaller because of the terrain and available prey.

Has never seen one. They don't exist except for leopards and jaguars. It is not genetically possible for a cougar/mountain lion/florida panther to be black.

Well, then I need to get documented b/c I had a black panther jump off a cut bank and look at me from 10 yards. This happened in Sikes, LA circa 1965......I was sitting on my honda 90 smoking a Kent cigarette I stole from my mother. Where do I go to document this?

ok, I can read wikipedia too, BFD, wanna call them "black jaguars"? Fine with me, but, whatever they are, we've got them in Louisiana, or, at least had them in the 50's and 60's...

If people still farmed like we did in the 50s and 60s there would be many more sightings.

I can tell you, the only thing that would surprise me is if you claimed to see a leprechaun.

Me too. The black gene is very rare in jaguars and leopards.

i have no experience like i stated but my grandgather, god rest his soul, swears he has seen black panthers numerous times in clark county arkansas. he was a forman for the state highway and then county road departments. basically he rode the roads in this rural county. stated numerous times he has seen black panthers. i was a skeptic but he believed what he saw and swore by it.

The "Florida Panther" a.k.a. Cougar is an endangered species. If while you are predator hunting one "threatens you" take him

LDWF are wrong about most every issue. fricker's ruined Caney Lake in Jackson Parish by releasing 250,000 grass eating carp or whatever they are.
