I grew up on DD sausage and it's really good but in my opinion you should try Fortenberry's in Henleyfield,MS. Only about a 20-30 minute drive from DD. This is the best deer sausage and regular pork sausage that I've ever eaten. Their prices are a little higher than DD but they put out a very high quality product. They sell deer sausage year round in their freezer case so if you want to try some before you actually bring a deer in you can.
