F-150 rear brake issues [solved]

Had a grinding on my rear wheels and noticed that my rotor was ate up and my pads were kaput
Changed said rotors and pads. Drive off thinking everything was okay. Sounds like the problem got worse
It’s a constant low grinding that gets higher pitched when I apply my brakes
Gotta be the caliper now right? Or possible emergency brake issues?
I doubt it’s the e-brake because while I had it apart, I worked the emergency brake and it looked like it released and tightened as it should, so it’s not stuck ON
Any ideas? Or should I just replace the caliper and see what happens?
UPDATE:
After further review, I’m an idiot. I 1000% put the inside brake pad in backwards
I was in a hurry after work because I had somewhere else to be and installed it backwards after I thought for sure I double checked that I put it in correctly. Oh well. That’s what I get for being in a hurry

Did the caliper retract properly when you installed the new pads?

With a c-clamp? Yes it did, no issues

Did you put the pads on backwards? It happens more than you think

And I know for a fact I didn’t because when I brought it home from the dealership a couple years back, they were backward, so I make sure i don’t do it. Called and bitched about it and they gave me $500 (thanks Bergeron

Does your truck have an electrically actuated E-brake?

Well then caliper shouldn’t be the issue. Usually when the caliper fails it will stay in the extended position and cause the constant rubbing.

Definitely check those calipers as others have said. Have an F250 and I have had 2 calipers seize up. Can really do some damage. New Rotors because of it both times.

No it’s a manual foot pedal
