I've gotten the cajun special to right at 35 with no ice chest, one empty tank and one half full tank and one person. Once. Of course anything faster than 45 in that glorified aluminum pirogue would probably be unwise.

It's rated for a 70, I wanna slap one on there. I bet it would be a wild ride. It has an old 48 on it right now. My dad wouldn't go for anything bigger than a 60 though, and not unless this motor shits out.

Would be hilarious.
As almost pointless as it would be I wish I had a jack plate on that boat to set the motor up a little higher. It could get into some pretty damn skinny water. The boat drafts barely anything, I've used it frogging a few times.

On a side note... Jsmoke, tell me a little more about that 3 bank dc alternator.. Is it really worth a purchase if you're not making LONG runs? That could be really beneficial if it gives a significant trickle in a short period of time
