Coast Twist-focus headlamp - $28

I have several of these and love them. Takes 3 AAAs.

The best feature is the twist focus. Being able to switch from a spot light beam to a flood light is awesome. It also has red and green options.

I use the flood when walking in, spot light for blood trails and looking at trees to climb, and red for when i am settint up or when I get close to the stand.

This sold me. You find it to be very helpful for that?

Yes. I can focus the beam into a spotlight and scan up and down a tree and then use the same headlamp in a flood light when walking out/in as needed.

Got a Fenix HM60R for my FIL. He says it’s pretty good.

I have a couple of these just to walk to and from the stand and get settled in. They're very bright and plenty of light if you don't need a spotlight.
