I figured this might be better here rather than the TV board. If the admin's disagree I apologize and just move it.

Steve Rinella of Meateater has a new show debuting tonight on History Channel.

We only have it for football season, looks like it's time to cancel until August/September

I didn't know about this show until seeing this post last week. The title of the show is a little misleading to me. Hunting history with Steven rinella seems to me like it would be a show about historical hunting expeditions or maybe how natives used to hunt. Overall the show has some interesting themes, but it also seems like a good excuse for Steve to live out some dreams such as parachuting on the first episode and glacier exploring on the second episode. I feel like they spent more effort on making sure the first lite brand is front and center than focusing on a solid slate of content for each episode.

I'll keep watching the show simply because I'm a fan of Steve and Meateater, but it hasn't been a very captivating hour of TV to me based on the first two episodes.
