They're pretty close now. I would say it's a foot long easily. He sure does love rye grass.

Stick it out. All the blasting might move the big boy by ya.

I was kinda hoping he would get the deer stirred up and moving for me but so far it hasnt been the case

We don't have a season here so nobody can hunt em. They aren't scared of people at all here. I'm assuming this is like the 12 point of turkeys though. He's twice as big as the other two. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I killed it anyway. Look like buzzards to me.

He's under the stand now lol

St James parish. As far a I know there has never been one. Never really hurt my feelings though I don't have much desire to kill one. Ugly lil bastards.

A doe might have to pay this evening though.

Yea he was right under the stand. I would say they were 5 or 6 inches. About twice as big as the other ones spurs. He ruffled his feathers up once and looked giant. I wish I could have gotten a good picture. This iPhone whips my arse. He's hangin out with a hen and another small one. I guess the other qualifys as a Jake.

Eta: like I said, I'm no turkey hunter so I really don't know what I'm looking for, but he look like a man.

i think the record spur is a little over 2", but if you could see them from your stand, then he prob had some good hooks on them. a jakes beard will pretty much stick straight out and be less the 6" and his outside tail feathers will be shorter than the inside tail feathers (if you see him strut)

if you can get a pic of him on your phone through your scope

Well in that case I may be full o shite lol. They looked long as hell though. I didn't think about the scope thing in time he's about 200-300 yards away now. I wish I could have taken a good picture so y'all could tell me if thi is the holy Grail of turkeys or if I'm just an idiot.

They're working back this way so I'll see if I can get a scope pic. Might have had the damn world record turkey hangin out under my stand. That'd be pretty cool.
