I keep a running list of the deer I get in Google Keep, but just when, what, and where. Sometime I'll capture the story of it's worth noting, like for my son's first one. Weather would have been good to capture, but it's not like a deer is going to be in the same place based on date or the weather could be 50 degrees different one year to the next.

I wish I had started logging hunts when I was in my teens. I especially should have logged kills, what I saw, etc. Would be cool to look back on

It helps that I killed my first deer in 2017 - didn't have to go back too far.

I’ve got a record of every deer I’ve ever killed(105).About 20 years ago I started keeping details of every hunt-time in and out of stand, where, each doe and buck seen, time I killed, weight of the deer. It’s interesting(to me).
I’ve killed 1/2 my deer between 10am and 12:30.I used to make a lot of all day hunts, never saw a deer between 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm.Never saw a deer when it was raining. Now I have several cameras, never get a daytime picture when it was raining but I have gotten some at night.

Back when I fished a lot I wish I had kept a record of my trips.
