We’re right off I-20 just west of the Simsboro exit. Looks like we’re only 10-12 miles apart or so.

Ended up seeing a couple does and yearling before the old men decided they had had enough of the wind.
But as I left the camp in my truck, there was the largest bald eagle sitting on the side of the road eating a squirrel. I drove up next to it, maybe 10 ft or so and we just stared at each other until he flew away.
I just sat there in shock for a while...ive never been remotely close to one like that

Back in the same 2 stands on the pipeline as this morning. It’s very rare that we don’t see something cross, so hopefully it will be this evening.
