I'm guessing a small lift kit wouldn't have the adverse effects that a leveling kit does?

Depends, but probably the same ill effects. What kit specifically?

Depends.

It's all about CV angles and ball joint loading

No idea, just speaking in generalities.

I don't know too much about this so thanks for helping me. So basically what Beard did his truck could eventually have the same ill effects? Is there anything I could do to mitigate the problems outside of not modifying it all.

Again, just do your research. My lift kit is a suspension lift kit that keeps most of the angles very near stock. Having larger tires and will likely wear some things out a little sooner, but that's a price I was willing to pay. If you put on a 1.5" spacer on the front and don't change the tire size much, you will likely see little difference in the long run. Any modifications to any vehicle may alter things in the long term and it's all about whether you're willing to chance it or not.

I've decided I'm going to level it. Now I'm trying to decide whether I should go with the 2" level or the 2.5" level. Light Line only has the 2" and he was telling me over the phone that's all I really need to get level. CSC Customs told me 2.5" sits me level. So now trynig to decide between 2 and 2.5

Is there a big difference in the two? I feel like I'm splitting hairs over here.

i'd go 2"

a little less stress on the parts, and i think mine looks perfectly level with the 2"

if you were going 2.5", you could be a touch nose high

unless the tire size you want is extreme, stick with 2", just my .02

Yeah, I feel like everyone is different. I measured it and it's a definite 2.5 inch difference from the front to the back.

CP, you're level?

ETA: Croaka, I think you're truck is pictured in this thread? I'm a go back and look for it but just wanted to check before I started digging.

I need a new car/truck. The Acadia is nice but seems overpriced. We have a Tahoe for pulling shite. This will be replacing a Camry.

Thoughts? Questions? Concerns?

I went with 2". Mechanic said 2.5" would have lifted the front a hair too much. Tires are 285/65/r18 nittos.
