Seems like back in the late 70's, i was buying cotton for around $ 47- $50 a bale, does that sound right?

Holy shite you run combines at 8mph
I think that's because of the stripper header. With that, the combine is doing very little work, so it can run faster. I pick corn and cut beans at 4.7-5.2 mph when things are going good.
Damn a square bale. I helped a guy pick up square bales one afternoon... I said yeah, I'll stick to row crops.

I can rake hay at 15mph (according to the tire chart thingy) in one of our fields. Top that
I spray at 19 mph

The stripper head looks to be 22 or 25 ft. The draper looks 40 ft, but I doubt he's running more than 5 mph or so with it. Our auger head is 30 ft.

Had some, but the herd was too small to be worth fooling with it, so I just sold out and paid my little loan off and said hell with it. I've thought about getting back into it a couple times, but I just like what I'm doing now more. I know a lot about it, but hardly ever use that info anymore. I could actually probably surprise some of the people I work around now with what I do know about it.

We are cutting wheat beans right now and we are pushing it to get 4 mph and that is loading the hell out of the machine. My fuel rate was 22 gal/hr.

I got 12 cows and a bull on about 30 acres. Just moved my last calves from this year. New ones should start hitting the ground about February.
