I have a 350 verado on my bass cat jaguar. Darn engine is just awesome. I am not brand loyal and have had most of them. This engine is smooth powerful and good on gas until over 5200.

We have a brand new Jaguar in the shop waiting on a Bob’s jackplate that will be getting a 350 Verado. Have you done any prop testing with yours? Any recommendations? Thanks.

None
Not familiar with the term squat. But the 350 has a problem getting onto step, like the boat is dogging out . Been told it’s a propping problem on that hull with the 350. Picked up a hub kit today to try a couple four blades this weekend!

Your money so buy what makes you happy, if spending more for the same result is your deal go for it. The majority of the current bay boat brands will work for most folks.
I don’t disagree, and I wouldn’t have paid the “going rate” for a shearwater or any top tier type of bay boat. We already had an older 24 that was serviceable enough for our needs. But we got a lucky deal on this boat well under its value from a guy that had two of them.
People that pay 80-100k+ for for a bay boat is outrageous. But if you got the money I suppose it’s all gravy.
Hoping I can move up to a 28-32 in the coming decade or two.

Which 4 blades?
Merc has props dialed in pretty tight, I am running a Rev4 for stern lift.

Gonna try Rev4 21 and 19
Guy at prop stop in Lafayette said the 21 will be perfect.

On the jaguar question I run a Rev 25 and a fury 4 25. Both give great hole shot with the rev 4 giving a little better stern lift for mid range cruising. Fastest prop was a fury 3 25 but it did not carry a load as well. I don't have the hydraulic jack plate.

Thanks iron banks! We haven’t talked to Bass Cat or Mercury yet, but it’s always good to hear from an actual owner. That gives us a good baseline to start off with. He will probably end up with a Fury 4 or maybe a Bravo 1 FS or XS.

I tried the Bravo FS and on my rig it was a dog. BTW, the Jag is just an awesome big water bass boat.

Good to know. Thanks again for your feedback. The Jaguar seems like the perfect bass boat for Venice, which is where this one will spend a lot of its time.
Let us know if you ever need anything. We eat, sleep and breathe Mercury and Verados.

Can't see the 19p being enough prop for F350, would start with 21p. It will amaze you how quick it gets out of the hole.

pumped about putting it on this weekend!

Didn’t test very long or run for top speed. Lock is closed so don’t have access to long run. It’s performane out the hole was excellent however.
Seems top speed will be similar to the 3 blade we had in the short test. Yammy XL salt water series I believe is what we had. 23 pitch.
Rev4 we put on is a 21 pitch. Have a 19 to try too but probably won’t bother.

I’m sure someone will holla but Yamaha props are crap compared to Merc s offerings and quality. Flow torque hub is the shizzle also, make sure you keep an extra on hand plus a prop wrench.

Guy who gave me the props to try is a boat manufacturer.
Any engine they put on a boat, regardless of brand, they use Merc Props.
