aah... thought you meant a full spike's build. would probably cost you a lil more than 700. Nice rifle though.

If you assemble your own lower you could build a 20" rifle using a del-ton kit for <$600 minus rear sight. Rifle upper and parts kit $465, approx $100 for lower and $22 shipping from del-ton. You could do the same with their M4 kits for $20 more

Again, I put together a bushmaster for just a bit more. I would sooner do that.

I just remembered I used a Stag lower, not a spikes lower.

Save your money dude....buy once, cry once. LMT YHM BCM Noveske would be where i would start. Your half way there, just continue to save.

If it were up to me I would buy whatever I wanted but this is going to be a Christmas present and I don't want my wife having to spend 2k of our money on me when I'm spending about 1k on her.

Jesus, some ar15 owners want a 2000 dollar gun so they can run around on weekends and say they have one.
Really?
I'm not sure about the people on this board, but I don't plan on having any tactical entries into buildings in my immediate future.
Also, though I suppose it doesn't hurt, I am not holding my breath for the next zombie apocolypse.
Look, I like buying premier stuff. But I like premier stuff that I need. I want a gun that will shoot straight. I got that for cheap. I want a gun that will shoot every time. I got that.
Oh, no, it may not last 10k rounds, but BFD. Lets get a grip here people.

Oh jesus, really?
OK, let me be more specific. I will not be making any tactical entries into buildings.
99.9% of the people on this board will not be making tactical entries.
If I was ever in need to make such an entry, I would be using my 12 guage shotgun. Just the way it is.
If you are going to be making a tactical entry, you may want to reconsider your choice.
